Fairport for the Future 2025 at Dudley and Northside

The unique character and needs of the Dudley and Northside school facilities have defined the scope of the project at these two schools. The Fairport for the Future 2025 project proposal for Dudley and Northside includes some complete classroom renovations, along with upgrades to air conditioning and flooring and enclosing their extraordinary libraries.

Health and Safety and Building Condition Survey projects:

Fire alarm system upgrades
Upgrades and replacement of original HVAC equipment
Electrical panel replacement
Building controls upgrades
Public address (PA) and clock system upgrades
Ventilation and air management updates

Upgrading classroom facilities at Dudley Elementary School

The proposed scope of classroom renovations in the Fairport for the Future 2025 CIP at Dudley includes full overhauls of classroom bathrooms attached to the classrooms selected for upgrades. As a K-2 school, the needs of our youngest learners include an in-room bathroom facility, including a toilet and sink fixture. The classrooms identified in this proposed project are adjacent to the school library, which is also targeted to be partitioned off to increase the number of large group spaces with air conditioning. Updating classroom spaces at Northside and Dudley Elementary Schools

Staff and families at Northside and Dudley Schools say that storage, accessibility, modern fixtures and improvements to tired, outdated classrooms are a top priority. The Fairport for the Future 2025 Capital Improvement Project targets classrooms adjacent to spaces where renovation work is proposed - in the case of Northside and Dudley, that means classrooms near the library, at the front of the building. These spaces are also near the brand-new Main Offices and Nurses' Offices and are framed by new flooring in both schools, creating a seamless upgrade to the first hallway that our families and students see when they walk in our buildings! Enclosing the Dudley and Northside libraries

The Northside and Dudley libraries are central gathering places at the front of each building. The proposed Fairport for the Future 2025 Capital Improvement Project provides for enclosed walls and entrances on each library, which will increase security and allow the spaces to be air conditioned for the safety and comfort of our Heroes and Dragons and staff.
