Johanna Perrin Principal Pat Grow receives regional School Administrator award
The Fairport Central School District is proud to congratulate Johanna Perrin Principal Patrick Grow on receiving the George Vito Administrator of the Year Award from the School Administrators Association of New York State, Region 11, Middle School Level.
The award recognizes, “[A] certified administrator who has contributed outstanding support or service on behalf of education; supported, developed or implemented innovative programs resulting in program improvements or improved student achievement.”
Pat Grow has been with the Fairport Central School District since 2016, when he joined Johanna Perrin as principal. The George Vito Administrator of the Year Award nomination requires endorsements from staff and students within the administrator’s school - and our Johanna Perrin family made their feelings about Mr. Grow very clear!
“Pat is always focused on relationships first and he is the foundation for a welcoming, inclusive, caring, and fun atmosphere,” said Kacie Ferrando, Assistant Principal at Johanna Perrin. “He keeps JP moving forward in a positive direction, maintaining focus on what is best for students. I couldn’t ask for a better mentor or colleague.”
One student said, "He always has a smile on his face, and is always willing to help anyone. He is so sweet and says hi to everyone everyday.” Another said, "He helped me get through things I didn't think I would get through...he put me before himself and was there for me even when he was busy."
Mr. Grow’s colleagues at Johanna Perrin say that he is deeply committed to student success and positive relationships with students and families alike. Mr. Grow is credited with striking a balance between setting high expectations and providing support.
Said one colleague: "He is a leader who focuses on the big picture, trusts his staff, and avoids micromanaging.” Another said, "Mr. Grow is the heart of Johanna Perrin! He creates a strong, supportive, and fun atmosphere at JP that makes it an incredible place to teach and the best environment to learn in."
“Pat is an asset to our school community; he is an outstanding leader who fosters an exceptional learning environment at JP,” said Superintendent of Schools Brett Provenzano. “His leadership prioritizes genuine care for people, ensuring every student, staff member and family feels valued.”
The Fairport Central School District is grateful for all that Mr. Grow has done to create a caring culture at Johanna Perrin and beyond. He is a Raider through and through and extremely deserving of this recognition.
Congratulations, Mr. Grow!
