Families will need to fill out a free and reduced meal form in order to receive free breakfast and lunch meal benefits for their children. Those families who do not qualify will need to pay for school meals.

Free/Reduced Meals:

Fairport participates in the national Child Nutrition Programs. Students from households that meet federal income guidelines are eligible for free or reduced-price benefits. No cost for the first Breakfast and first Lunch each day for those that qualify for Free or Reduced meals. The application for meal benefits is available below, and at each school, and the School Food Service Office. Completed paper applications must be mailed or delivered to the Food Service Office.

ALL FREE/REDUCED MEAL BENEFITS FROM THE SCHOOL YEAR ENDING JUNE 2023 EXPIRE, UNLESS AN APPLICATION OR A DIRECT CERTIFICATION LETTER FROM THE NYS OFFICE of TEMPORARY DISABILITY ASSISTANCE IS SUBMITTED AND APPROVED. 

• Your child’s Free/Reduced status from June 2023 is in effect for the first 30 days of school. 
• New applications OR Direct Certifications are required EACH SCHOOL YEAR for ANY STUDENT TO RECEIVE free or reduced priced meal benefits.  

There are two methods available for families to submit a Free/Reduced Priced Meal Application.

1. Traditional paper application sent to every household in the Fairport School District Newsletter (Commentator) in August. The application is also available for download at the bottom of this page.
2. Electronic/Online: FCSD is also pleased to offer an online application to apply for Free and Reduced Price meals electronically!  The process is SAFE, SECURE, PRIVATE, and AVAILABLE anytime, anywhere!
